Motor Fuel Group (MFG) stands as the UK's leading independent forecourt operator, proudly operating over 1500 stations across the nation. Renowned fuel brands like BP, Esso, Shell, JET, and Murco find their presence at MFG's stations, catering to thousands of consumers with competitive prices and a convenient shopping experience each day.

The Challenge

The client entrusted us with the task of developing a robust sales reporting and information distribution system, equipped with task assignment and personalized messaging capabilities. With MFG's extensive daily operations spanning over 900 sites, our objective was to deliver a comprehensive solution that enabled simultaneous report submissions from each site, either manually or automatically based on specific criteria. Additionally, the system was designed to support Optical Character Recognition (OCR) functionality, facilitating the processing of bank payment proofs submitted by the sites. Our tailored solution ensured streamlined operations and efficient handling of critical tasks for MFG's extensive network of sites.

The Solution

Flat Rock Technology successfully developed the comprehensive daily reporting system called "Orange," incorporating all the requested features as per the client's requirements. To address the substantial demand for system resources and database capacity, we engineered a scalable cloud-based solution capable of dynamically adjusting itself based on system load. 

By focusing on the right Web UI/UX design, we prioritized user-friendly navigation and usability for system administrators and everyday users. This approach ensures that the system can be easily managed and utilized by both the system administrator and other system users, facilitating a seamless and intuitive experience. The successful collaboration with the client resulted in the creation of the Orange reporting system, a powerful solution designed to meet the client's needs and exceed their expectations.
